2023 the move to the farm

This year has been crazy to say the least. We finally got the framing done on the barn and got like 2 weekends off to relax and then we put the house up for sale and started downsizing and packing up stuff. Deciding what was going in the "POD" and what we needed to have for the next 6-8 months to live.
We have pretty much been working 2 jobs since last October when we started this barn project. Work full time jobs and then go up the farm and work all weekend.

We started living up here in May 2023 and we have started to settle in. Jeannine has her studio in the old farm house and I have my office in the RV. Jeannine has given up her gardening business and continues her craft business.

This has been the first time since owning the farm that we have been able to properly take care of plants and the yard looks amazing. The blackberry harvesting is a bumper crop this year and we may actually get a couple apples off the trees. She planted Jerusalem Artichokes this year and lots of other veggies and they are just starting to ripen.

Still have a long way to go and we are hoping to have the barn finished by Thanksgiving.

The view from my RV office window is horrible, NOT!

Momma, our 62 year old cactus, is going bonkers being in the sun. She has like a 100 babies on her now. We are still hoping that she blooms. We will roll her back in for winter and bring her out next spring.
